A Shabby Chic bedroom is really a bit of a mash up of a few different styles. It’s a little rustic, little farmhouse, a little glam.
All of that comes together, however, into a look that is undeniably shabby chic, when you do it right.
There’s a sentimentality to shabby chic style that draws people to the look. It feels collected and loved.
What is Shabby Chic Style?
Shabby Chic is feminine and romantic. If you share your bedroom with a man, he’s going to need to be on board with a lot of frills, flowers and lace.
A typical shabby chic bedroom is going to have a lot of white linens, white, chipped furniture with touches of pinks and florals.
But we aren’t going to look at just the typical shabby chic bedrooms. You can do shabby chic in a more subtle way and we’ll see a couple of examples of that, too.
10 Shabby Chic Bedrooms You Might Love
#1 Cleaned Up Shabby Chic
This beautiful bedroom is one of the more subtle examples of Shabby Chic. We’ve got the cozy white linens and furniture, but there’s no chippy paint to be found. The salvage looking headboard keeps this room in the “shabby” category, though.
There’s also a crystal chandelier peaking in from just out of frame and that’s a hallmark of a shabby chic bedroom.
The casual floral arrangement on the bedside table and the softly ruffled bed skirt are perfect accents for shabby chic.

#2 Soft Florals
The linens on this bed are a lesson in shabby chic.
First, the layers of texture. Ruffled bed skirt, small print floral sheets, waffle knit blanket topped with a romantic pale pink and blue floral comforter.
Add in the textured and patterned pillows and this is exactly the look you’ll want to emulate for a romantic shabby chic bedroom.
It’s a lot of different things coming together, but if you can keep the colors in the same family and muted, you’ll nail it.

#3 Rustic Shabby Chic
Here’s another atypical shabby chic room. There’s no pink and not a floral to be found and it definitely doesn’t have the excess that you’ll see in most shabby chic rooms.
But the white linens, the ruffles and even the curvy legs on the furniture keep are definitely shabby chic.
I love it all set against that barnwood wall.

#4 Boho Shabby Chic
There are definitely touches of boho in this room and they lend a ton of character.
The dream catcher above the bed and those black lamps are not what you would expect in a shabby chic room, but they are the stand outs here.
So don’t be afraid to mix a little boho in. It works perfectly in this room from Hallstrom Home.
#5 Farmhouse Shabby Chic
This room has a lot of life in it. It is cheerful and has a lived in look. There are farmhouse elements, but overall that whitewashed wood wall and the pink accents keep things shabby chic.
All the small touches in this room add to the sentimental feeling that shabby chic should bring. It feels very personal to whoever lays their head here at night.

#6 Colorful Shabby Chic
Bright color like this room has is very difficult to pull off in a shabby chic room.
This room achieves it because that bed is most definitely shabby chic and the pale blue walls keep the room from going to far over to boho.
This is a pretty little collection of colors and florals. It’s another great example of the not so typical shabby chic style.

#7 Luxe Shabby Chic
Shabby chic looks like it’s been salvaged, thrifted, handed down. Usually.
This room is shabby chic, but it is not any of those things. This room looks expensive and I’m sure it was. But that mirror is luxury shabby chic. The little dresser, too.
There’s even some distressed paint on the side table. And those curtains pooling just a little on the floor adds to the romantic shabby chic feel.

#8 Parisian Shabby Chic
There’s something about this room that says Paris to me. Paris and glamour. I guess the glamour is coming from that mirror nightstand, but otherwise, I see shabby chic.
An iron bed is a great choice for a shabby chic bedroom. This one is absolutely beautiful.
My favorite part of this room is those floral pillows. They have a unique pattern they make a big statement in an otherwise quiet room.

#9 So Typical Shabby Chic
This is the image that I get in my head when I think of shabby chic. Voluminous white linens. Antique looking chippy furniture.
Little touches of pale blue and pale pink. That rug, too, pulls all of those things together.
The big mirror in the corner with the ornate frame is perfect.

#10 Dainty Shabby Chic
This wallpaper is so pretty. It’s a lot of floral for a bedroom, but the symmetry of the pattern makes it not too overwhelming. It would be very easy for this wallpaper to go the wrong way, though.
But in this room, everything else sort of steps aside for the wallpaper.
This look will take a little guts because wallpaper is a commitment, but if you love this, go for it.
