The way your home smells is part of the overall “home” experience. Smell is so tightly woven with memory. Candles are one way to create a full sensory experience in your home. Which means it makes perfect sense to try some new Fall Candles this year.
Think about all of the iconic scents of Fall. They are so cozy and evoke that feeling of tucking yourself in a warm sweater and boots. Or just under a soft throw with a cup of coffee.
That’s what Fall scented candles make me feel. That and hungry. Almost all of the fall scents are food related.
Here, I’ll show you.
9 Unique Fall Candles So Even Your Nose is Cozy
Apples! Back to school! (sort of). Pie! Stationary!
That’s like an SAT question, isn’t it? Apples are to pie as Back to school is to stationary.
Anyhoo, apples are a staple smell of fall. Crisp and bright like the September sun.
You can get this Apple + Harvest scented candle from Etsy.
I have to confess, I haven’t actually smelled this candle, but I can tell you that it is one of those candles with three different layers of scents! I love those.
This one is apples/red berries/oranges, then cinnamon/cloves then, nectar/white musk.
All sounds very fall like to me. Plus that handsome amber glass container is really pretty.

Pumpkin Spice (obvi!)
I didn’t want to put the Pumpkin Spice candle first because you all would click on it and leave and never come back. But I also didn’t want to put it at the end, because you’d just scroll til you found it.
So here it is sort of in the middle. I know you love it, but give the others a chance, ok? They are all delightful. Maybe this is the year to try something new!
Maybe not? You can find the Pumpkin Spice Candle on Etsy.
What is there to say about Coffee? It tastes good. It smells even better. So clearly it would be a great choice for a candle.
But also, this candle is sooo pretty, isn’t it? This is just one of several different types of candles with the “stuff” stuck in the wax. I really love that touch.
You can find the Coffee candle on Etsy.
Having trouble thinking of what French Toast smells like? Well, it’s vanilla. And some cinnamon and other spices.
Sounds good, right? Notably there is no “egg” scent. That’s a good thing.

How do you capture the essence of “sweater weather” in a scent? I mean, really how do you do it?
Well, it’s kind of a little bit of everything that you think of with Fall. And it has a really lovely style to it, doesn’t it?
There are lots of candles in the world. If you’re going to get one, consider the way it’s going to look on your counter. This one will look lovely.

Mm, there’s something that I really like about this “Cabin Spice” candle. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but without even knowing exactly what the scent is, I just like the idea of it.
Cedar. Mm, cedar in a candle is lovely. There are some other scents in here, too, but I’ve had a cedar candle before. It’s kind of earthy smelling, but not in an earthy/crunchy patchouli way. It’s crisp and clean.
You can find the Cabin Spice candle on Etsy.
Maple is a great scent, but without the “bourbon” it might be a tiny bit too sweet, even for me. And I love sweet. Sweet food and sweet smells.
This is a perfect combo of sweet and um, boozy? Boozy is a scent, right?
You can find the Maple Bourbon candle on Etsy.
Caramel Popcorn, not unlike Maple Bourbon is another pair of opposing scents. Sort of like sweet & salty except I don’t think “salty” has a smell.
Salty air at the sea? Popcorn has a scent though. Buttery. Right? Yum.
Buttery caramel. I’m in.

Now You Just Have to Light the Fall Candles
And you’ll be all fall-ified in your home. Well, maybe you need a Fall Wreath?
Or perhaps some Pumpkin decor to go with your fall candles?
